You might wonder how to take down Ifrit since the players have become more geared and better prepared. Well, there are still mechanics to worry about, and the extreme battles remind us all that great gear only gets you through so much. I kind of wish I'd recorded my Titan fight, but let's talk a little bit about Ifrit. First, this was through Duty Finder, and you shouldn't have any problems completing the primal extremes through a DF, you just need to be persistent. Secondly, as you can see by the countdown timer, this was a few tries into the fight. I was surprised that no one left, and though the Bard was the biggest winer about everyone else, you'll notice his awful execution throughout. A BRD has no excuse when it comes to dodging. The healers took a stance on opposite sides of the arena (one east and one west) and this kept the raid from being hit and no one had to track who had the stack at the time. We dodged the plumes by running straight back. You'll notice, I would do a fishhook at the south end of the map and return quickly. The tanks moved Ifrit slowly in a clockwise motion each time he returned, because the open area of the plumes moves in that way. If you're geared high enough, you can take a hit by the plumes, just remember that the healers need to keep up, so don't make it a habit. Watch the dodging techniques, and you'll get this fight with no problem. Do NOT limit break Ifrit too early! If you do, he enrages and consumes the raid. Notice I waited until the last nail was down and THEN I LB'd. You may also note that I didn't dodge much at the end. I knew at that point that the plumes wouldn't end me, and I wanted to take him out and finish the show.
